The presidency of the United States is not a political inheritance, a partisan entitlement, or a position that any individual is owed. It is a constitutional responsibility entrusted to one person by the American people.

For too long, Americans have witnessed an increasingly adversarial political environment in which partisan loyalty frequently overshadows institutional accountability, economic security, and the fundamental responsibilities of public service.

The Republican and Democratic parties have dominated the federal government for generations. Their administrations have advanced different policies, confronted different crises, and achieved different results. Nevertheless, both parties must answer difficult questions about the national debt, the affordability of essential goods, the consequences of military intervention, government transparency, and the influence of powerful financial interests.

Neither party should be immune from scrutiny.

The Trump Administration and the Question of Political Continuity

President Donald Trump's administration should be evaluated on its decisions, not its political branding.

Questions concerning military intervention, executive authority, international legal obligations, the treatment of political opponents, and the constitutional limits of presidential power deserve serious examination.

Vice President J.D. Vance, should he seek the presidency in 2028, would face a legitimate question of political continuity: Which policies of the Trump administration would he preserve, which would he reject, and where would his leadership differ?

A change in presidential personnel does not necessarily constitute a change in governing philosophy.

The American people are entitled to evaluate whether a prospective administration represents substantive institutional reform or continuity with the administration that preceded it.

The Biden Administration and Democratic Accountability

Former President Joe Biden and former Vice President Kamala Harris must likewise be evaluated on their administration's record.

The Biden administration's economic policies, immigration decisions, foreign-policy commitments, regulatory priorities, and responses to inflation remain appropriate subjects of public scrutiny.

Harris's prior service as a prosecutor, attorney general, United States senator, and vice president provides a substantial public record for examination. Should she pursue the presidency again, her prosecutorial decisions, executive responsibilities, policy positions, and administrative record should be examined with the same rigor applied to every other candidate.

Political affiliation must never substitute for a substantive examination of public performance.

Economic Affordability and the American Standard of Living

The affordability of food, gasoline, housing, transportation, and other essential goods must remain a central measure of economic policy.

Americans should be able to examine how federal taxation, energy policy, international trade, monetary conditions, domestic production, market competition, and government expenditures affect their purchasing power.

My proposed economic agenda would prioritize domestic energy capacity, competitive markets, agricultural productivity, supply-chain resilience, fiscal discipline, and the removal of unnecessary regulatory barriers.

I also intend to examine the economic feasibility of substantially lower gasoline prices, including a proposed benchmark of $1.25 per gallon. Achieving such a price would depend on production costs, crude-oil markets, refining capacity, distribution, taxation, and other factors beyond direct presidential control.

Any serious national energy strategy must distinguish an ambitious price objective from a guaranteed outcome.

Foreign Policy, War, and International Law

The United States must approach military conflict with constitutional discipline, strategic clarity, and respect for applicable international law.

Military intervention should be subject to rigorous examination of its legal authority, national-security necessity, financial costs, civilian consequences, and long-term objectives.

The lessons of Iraq, Afghanistan, and subsequent international conflicts demand scrutiny rather than automatic deference to political leadership.

The executive branch must not treat military force as a substitute for diplomacy, nor should any administration regard its interpretation of national security as unlimited presidential authority.

The American people deserve transparent explanations for the use of their resources and the deployment of their armed forces.

Government Integrity and Institutional Reform

A functioning constitutional republic requires more than elections. It requires enforceable standards of conduct between elections.

My proposed approach to federal governance emphasizes independent oversight, responsible public expenditures, stronger conflict-of-interest safeguards, transparent procurement, protection of constitutional liberties, and meaningful accountability for official misconduct.

Investigations must follow credible evidence. Criminal prosecutions must comply with due process. No administration should direct criminal enforcement merely to punish its political opponents.

These principles apply to Republicans, Democrats, independents, corporations, and government officials without exception.

Why I Am Seeking the Presidency

I am seeking the presidency as an independent because I believe the national political conversation should extend beyond the institutional priorities of the two major parties.

My candidacy is intended to present an alternative governing philosophy centered on constitutional accountability, economic affordability, national sovereignty, responsible public administration, and the equal application of law.

I do not ask Americans to disregard my record or accept my positions without examination.

I expect my policy proposals, professional experience, judgment, financial plans, and understanding of constitutional authority to receive rigorous public scrutiny.

Why Voters Should Also Question My Candidacy

No presidential candidate deserves unquestioning support, including me.

Americans should consider my experience, qualifications, proposed policies, ability to administer the executive branch, understanding of foreign affairs, and capacity to work with Congress.

They should question the costs of my proposals, the legal authority necessary to implement them, and the potential unintended consequences.

They should examine whether my proposed reforms are achievable, whether my economic objectives are supported by credible analysis, and whether my governing philosophy is consistent with constitutional restraints.

If a voter concludes that another candidate offers a more suitable approach to these responsibilities, that judgment is theirs to make.

The presidency must be earned through public examination, not assumed through political confidence.

A Standard Greater Than Political Parties

The United States is not the property of the Republican Party, the Democratic Party, or any presidential administration.

The Constitution establishes a government whose authority is limited by law and whose legitimacy ultimately depends on the consent of the governed.

Political competition should be grounded in competing ideas, documented records, transparent proposals, and accountable leadership.

Every candidate, including myself, should be judged by those standards.
